CV Real Estate, together with other investors, has invested in an FinTech-company focusing on the real estate sector. Bambus Immobilien GmbH is developing a solution with which private real estate owners can reallocate parts of the assets tied up in the property to other forms of investment without having to sell the property for this. With the funds now made available by CV Real Estate and other well-known investors, Bambus can advance further development. The market launch is planned for the second half of the year.
Bambus was founded in 2018. The two-person founding team combines experience in investment banking as well as in the design and implementation of digital products and services. Last week, the company completed the F10-FinTech Accelerator Program in Zurich, for which it was selected as one of over 300 applicants. The F10-FinTech Accelerator Programme is supported by the Swiss stock exchange operator Six Swiss Exchange, the private bank Julius Baer and other renowned finance and consulting companies. The investment was acquired via CV Projektentwicklung GmbH.
"Bambus has the potential to completely redevelop an attractive segment of the private real estate market. This and the digital competence and experience of the founders and the circle of other well-known investors convinced us," says Christian Vogrincic, founder and CEO of CV Real Estate. "Digitization will fundamentally change the way we invest in real estate and manage these assets in the coming years. We want to contribute to this development and our commitment as an investor in this area will provide valuable impetus for our core business," adds Anatol Obolensky, CEO of CV Real Estate.
The Bambus platform integrates all the necessary steps for private owners to mobilise and diversify the assets tied up in their property. Integrated security mechanisms such as a low LTV limit ensure an investment that optimally balances opportunities and risks. The platform maps the entire diversification process, from automated valuation, mortgaging and new investment of the funds generated in this way in alternative investment forms through to managing the broader portfolio. The core target group for the application are the approximately four million households in Germany that own unencumbered second properties. With the Bambus solution, they benefit from more attractive conditions for raising capital and a digitally optimised selection of alternative investment forms.
